Where to Go on Your Honeymoon

xNow, that the wedding plans are underway, now the fun starts and it’s time to plan that honeymoon!. Let’s take a look at the typical honeymoon, shall we? Consider that this 7-10 day vacation follows many months of stressful planning, and most likely a very exhausting wedding day. Add to that the notion that oftentimes, the newly married couple tend to prefer a good deal of “private” time to adjust to their newly married status.

Sometimes couples find that they have planned such an extravagant, expensive honeymoon in a far away place where they don’t understand the language, currency, culture or customs, and end up frustrated when they realize they have over-scheduled as well as overestimated their energy or financial resources. So, keep in mind that if you love the notion of a warm, exotic vacation with tons of things to do, beautiful beaches and the time of your life, but don’t want to spend a fortune or fuss with passports and international travel issues, consider a fabulous honeymoon vacation in sunny San Diego, California.

Everyone will be so envious as it really is an area that has just about anything you could possibly want to do, and you will have no trouble finding just the right people to take you there and/or show you how to get the most out of the experience…after all, they live there year round and are the experts, right? With 70 miles of beautiful beaches, countless parks and gardens, and endless opportunities for pampering at one of the areas many spas and resorts, San Diego is an excellent destination for the perfect honeymoon getaway.

Downtown San Diego is one of the city's prime draws, home to the Gaslamp Quarter Historic District, Horton Plaza, elegant hotels, and trendy restaurants. San Diego's Spanish and Mexican heritage are most evident in Old Town, north of downtown at Juan Street, near the intersection of Interstates 5 and 8. Overlooking downtown, 1,200-acre Balboa Park has most of San Diego's museums including San Diego Museum of Man and the San Diego Natural History Museum. And how can you even think of visiting Southern Californian and not going to the world-famous San Diego Zoo/ San Diego Wild Animal Park? If you are the outdoorsy types (you have to come out of that honeymoon suite at some point, no?), Cowels Mt. is a great hike right in the city. From the top you get a panoramic view from the Coronado Islands up to Catalina on a clear day. Great workout and is about 2.5 miles round trip. Balbo Park has some great trails and so does Torrey Pines, which has amazing views of La Jolla and up the coast. If you are looking for a more relaxing outside event, you can take a Coaster train in to Old Town or Downtown, or The Old Town Trolley Tour is a privately-operated hop-on, hop-off tour that runs a circuit around central San Diego including Old Town, the zoo entrance, downtown San Diego, Little Italy and it goes over to Coronado and goes close to the beach there.

If you are bike enthusiasts, how about riding Mountain bikes from Mt. Soledad down through Mission Beach then back up the and then back into LaJolla Shores. Maybe you like to be near/in the water; LaJolla Shores/Cove kayaking is just the thing. Or Sea World does offer a swim with Beluga Whales if you want to get into the water with a marine animal. In addition, they also have daytime shows, and then a special summer evening event with different shows, and fireworks.

While most people understand the importance of wedding photos, you would be surprised how many people forget about making arrangements to have their special honeymoon events photographed, and end up relying on strangers to snap a quick photo of them here and there, or being stuck with the option of taking turns photographing each other alone!! A good photographer will be on top of his game when it comes to your itinerary. Whether you are taking pictures at San Diego bay, or La Jolla cove, or Sunset Cliffs in mission beach, consider using a professional photographer at http://www.san-diego-wedding-photographer.net, you can be assured that your memories will be recorded with style and you can still enjoy yourself!
